Alumni young and old gathered at JP Morgan Chase on Madison Avenue on Monday, December 10 for a reception with MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon and newly-appointed Vice President of Research and Graduate Studies, Dr. Stephen Hsu.

The group had the opportunity to mingle and enjoy a diverse spread of hors d’oeuvres in a

More than 40 New York area Spartans gathered beneath the pines in Central Park’s Ross Pinetum on a beautiful Saturday afternoon for our Annual Spartan Family Picnic. Alums were joined by two new Spartans of the Class of 2016, three NY area current students, and several MSU student interns.

Early Saturday morning, a few dozen Spartans journeyed to the Bronx Zoo for a “fun-formational”  tour led by zoo enthusiast and chapter president, Greg Hauser. Greg admits that zoo visits were a highlight of his childhood, prompting him to earn his degree in Zoology from Michigan State.

New York Spartans from across all five boroughs braved the chilly temperatures on Saturday, April 28, and made the trip to Yankee Stadium to cheer on the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers, who ultimately beat their pin-striped opponents 7-5, ended their 5-game losing streak, ticking off many a spirited Yankee fan in the process.

“Beneath the pines we gathered” in Central Park’s Ross Pinetum on August 6th, a beautiful Saturday afternoon, for the Annual Spartan Family Picnic.

More than 40 NY area Spartans enjoyed the opportunity to network and socialize while enjoying an over-abundance of delicious picnic fare. The highlight of the afternoon was the opportunity to welcome eight new Spartans of the Class of 2015 to our Spartan Family.
